Tifton Police Department Patrol Division

The patrol division presently consists of 34 officers divided into four shifts. A shift captain supervises each shift. The patrol division is truly the back bone of the department. All other divisions of the department and other city departments rely on the Patrol Division for assistance.

The Patrol Division of the Tifton Police Department is the most visible group of the Police Department. These dedicated men and women patrol the streets of Tifton 24 hours a day, seven days a week and respond to emergency calls from thefts to murder. From traffic control to gathering evidence for your residential burglary, the uniformed division of the Department is the front line unit in the fight against crime. Their dedication and commitment to protecting the citizens of Tifton is unmatched and is a continuing "Mission" for all members. Their dedication to "Our Vision" of the Department is measured in the impressive crime statistics which tell the world that Tifton is a safe place to live.

The patrol division is charged with the duties of protecting the lives and property of the citizen; enforcing federal, state laws and local ordinances, serving the citizens when called upon by citizens of Tifton.
